【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforpredictingthelong-termthermalresistance(LTTR)ofunfacedorpermeablyfacedrigidgas-filledclosed-cellfoaminsulationsbyreducingthespecimenthicknesstoaccelerateagingundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions().1.2Rigidgas-filledclosed-cellfoaminsulationincludesallcellularplasticinsulationsmanufacturedwiththeintenttoretainablowingagentotherthanair.1.3Thistestmethodislimitedtounfacedorpermeablyfaced,homogeneousmaterials.Thismethodisappliedtoawiderangeofrigidclosed-cellfoaminsulationtypes,includingbutnotlimitedto:extrudedpolystyrene,polyurethane,polyisocyanurate,andphenolic.Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytoimpermeablyfacedrigidclosed-cellfoamsortorigidclosed-cellbunstockfoams.Note1SeeNote0formoredetailsregardingtheapplicabilityofthistestmethodtorigidclosed-cellbunstockfoams.1.4Thistestmethodutilizesreferencedstandardtestproceduresformeasuringthermalresistance.Periodicmeasurementsareperformedonspecimenstoobservetheeffectsofaging.Specimensofreducedthickness(thatis,thinslices)areusedtoshortenthetimerequiredfortheseobservations.Theresultsofthesemeasurementsareusedtopredictthelong-termthermalresistanceofthematerial.1.5Thetestmethodisgivenintwoparts.ThePrescriptiveMethodinPartAprovideslong-termthermalresistancevaluesonaconsistentbasisthatcanbeusedforavarietyofpurposes,includingproductevaluation,specifications,orproductcomparisons.TheResearchMethodinpartBprovidesageneralrelationshipbetweenthermalconductivity,age,andproductthickness.1.5.1TousethePrescriptiveMethod,thedateofmanufacturemustbeknown,whichusuallyinvolvesthecooperationofthemanufacturer.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundvaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
