【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesforthequantitativedeterminationoftotalacidityinethyleneglycolsbynon-aqueouspotentiometrictitration.Theruntimefortitrationofethyleneglycolsamplesrangesfrom5to10minwithnosamplepreparationrequired.Thelengthoftimeforatitrationdependsontheamountofacidityinthesampleandtheaciditygenerallyincreasesfrommonoethyleneglycoltothehigherglycolsliketetraethyleneglycol.Acceptablelevelsofacidityinethyleneglycolsvarywiththemanufacturerx2019;sspecificationsbutarenormallybelow200mg/kg.Knowledgeoftheacidityinethyleneglycolsisrequiredtoestablishwhethertheproductqualitymeetsspecificationrequirements.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalacidityasaceticacidincommonlyavailablegradesofmonoethyleneglycol,diethyleneglycol,triethyleneglycolandtetraethyleneglycolusinganon-aqueouspotentiometrictitration.Thistestmethodisusefulfordetermininglowlevelsofacidity,below200mg/kg.1.2Themono-,di-,tri-andtetraethyleneglycolscanbeanalyzeddirectlybythistestmethodwithoutanysamplepreparation.1.3ReviewthecurrentappropriateMaterialSafetyDataSheets(MSDS)fordetailedinformationconcerningtoxicity,firstaidprocedures,andsafetyprecautions.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsstatementsaregiveninthesectiononHazards,Section9.
